Toni has been Nursery Supervisor at St. Luke's for 8 years. In that time she has redecorated both the toddler and the infant rooms, established a beeper system to notify parents when they need to come back to the nursery, and have kept a solid group of volunteers as child care providers.
She has been working with children all her life and began working with her own about 18 years ago. She taught preschool for 13 years and has been actively involved with the school system for all of that time. She has been involved with several children's activities at St. Luke's from VBS, to teaching the nursery children a Sunday School class, to teaching on Wonderful Wednesdays.
Outside of St. Luke's she is actively involved with her kids' school and their activities, such as being the Band Board President for at least one year. She has served on the Board for 5 years. With St. Luke's, she is now serving as chair for the child protection team with many ideas for that group.
"My love for children and their wellbeing keeps growing. In this day and age, the children need to be nurtured and paid attention to. I truly give God the glory for the children He has put in my life. This year, 2006, I will graduate my first class of preschoolers. How wonderful it has been to see these children grow in to young adults. Thank God for the things He has done in their young lives and in my life, and will continue to do for years to come."
