Becca has a degree in Music Education from Olivet Nazarene University (where she began as a math major until God intervened) and teaches music to grades 1-8 at Sts. Joan of Arc & Patrick School. She has done graduate work in Music Technology through IUPUI, and specializes in hand choreography. Becca says she was born into a Christian musical family. Her father was a song leader/choir director/soloist, her mother was a children’s choir director/alto/accompanist, and her grandmother was a church accompanist. Becca says that she herself has been a child of the King since 1965, and knows her need of the grace of God “daily, hourly, minute-by-minute, moment-by-moment.” Becca is married to Robert Short since 1973, and they have two sons and daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. Bob served as Pastor of Nazarene churches in Menomonie, Wisconsin, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Marion, Indiana, before the Shorts returned to Kokomo in 1981. Email Becca: becca@stlukesumc.net |
