Jean Tarner accepted Christ as a child while living in Kentucky. For 35 years, she has been involved in various aspects of children's ministry and church office administration. Since 2004, Jean has served as Director of Christian Education and Children's Ministries here at St. Luke's UMC. While attending her senior year at Frankfort Pilgrim High School in Frankfort, Indiana, she met Mike Tarner at the Michigantown Wesleyan Church. They have been married for 36 years and have two children and one grandson. Jenn resides in Russiaville. Wes, a salesman at Aunt Millie's Baker in Kokomo, and Jessica, an elementary teacher in Jonesboro, are the parents of Jacob Tarner. "I have served in this ministry position because I believe children are a priceless treasure entrusted to our care.
